Dyce Head Lighthouse, Maine
In September 2007 a freak storm bent over the skeletal tower and light. The town asked the Coast Guard to return the navigational aid to the Dyce Head Lighthouse. The Coast Guard agreed to this cost saving measure and after 72 years of darkness a light shone from the tower once again on January 1, 2008. The current optic in the lantern is a 250mm light.
