Prospect Harbor Lighthouse, Maine
On March 14, 1988 The Prospect Harbor Light Station was added to the National Register of Historical Places. In 2000 the lighthouse was leased to a chapter of the American Lighthouse Foundation (ALF). The ALF and the Coast Guard have performed restoration work on the house and tower. In 2004 the ALF removed the lantern to have it refurbished and repaired water damage in the tower. Although the grounds are closed to the public, the light can be photographed from several points nearby.
